Our advice, review, drafting and representation can be funded in different ways

1. Hourly Rate
2. Fixed Fee
3. Employment Protection Insurance

1. Hourly rate

We can advise and/or represent your business on a hourly rate plus VAT.  The amount you pay is dependant upon the amount of time spent on your case and the level of experience of the solicitor.

We will provide full details to you if you wish to choose this option.

2. Fixed Fee

   Where the matter is one which can be dealt with on a fixed fee we would be willing to provide an estimate of the likely cost and cap the fee at an agreed cost.

   In respect of Employment Tribunal matters, in certain cases we may be willing to conduct the whole matter, or specific parts, at a fixed fee.  We will begin by assessing your case at a fixed fee.  Following this we will provide you with an assessment of your case.  We will then provide you with a fixed fee quotation in order to represent you on the matter through to its conclusion, whether that be the outcome at Tribunal, or a negotiated settlement.

If you would prefer to retain more control over the funding of your case we may be able to assist you with various stages of your case at a fixed fee for each stage.  Such stages may include:

• Drafting and submitting your defence to Employment Tribunal (ET3)
• Drafting and submitting a response to a Discrimination questionnaire
• Preparing a request for further and better particulars of the Claimant’s case
• Assisting you with compliance with the Disclosure and Inspection stage and preparation of the Tribunal bundle
• Reviewing the Claimant’s schedule of loss and preparing a counter-schedule
• Identifying relevant witnesses and drafting Witness Statements
• Preparing for and representing you at various hearings, including Case Management Discussions, Pre-Hearing Reviews, Full Merits Hearings, Review Hearings and Remedy Hearings.

3. Employment Protection Insurance

We are able to offer a solution that provides your business with the maximum protection against employment claims.  This package ensures your businesses documentation is compliant, provides you with unlimited telephone advice on employment issues, and is supported by insurance protection that covers the cost of your businesses legal fees, settlements, most tribunal awards in the event of a claim, and enables us to act on your behalf.
