CRIMINAL DEFENCE
Our large Criminal Law Department will be able to assist you in relation to any criminal offence you face from minor motoring document offences to a prosecution in the Crown Courts.
We provide a police station attendance service which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for anyone arrested by the police and this service is available free of charge to any client. Our emergency number is 07885 332421 or simply ask the custody office at the Police Station to contact Bray & Bray.
We will represent you in any Magistrates or Crown Court and can provide that service either on a Private basis or with Legal Aid.
Legal Aid is available for many cases in the Magistrates Courts but does have an Income Test as to whether it will be granted to you. If you would like us to apply for Legal Aid we will require your National Insurance Number and a document confirming either the benefit you receive or your latest wage slip.
Our staff are highly trained, experienced people and are able to provide professional service suitable to each individual’s requirements. We are aware that even a minor offence can prove to be a distressing experience and we ensure that the best advice is given to you throughout the duration of the case.
We are happy to discuss initial matters on the telephone but regret that we cannot provide specific advice about a case on the telephone.
Why not book an appointment at one of our free advice clinics if you require initial advice about your case and we can advise you about the availability of Legal Aid or the costs or representing you.
Bray & Bray have an excellent reputation within Leicestershire and are able to provide you with access to Barristers and Expert Witnesses to assist your case.
ROAD TRAFFIC
Road Traffic offences can be as minor as missing documents or involve a serious accident.
We have experience in the whole range of offences and have successfully represented clients in complex accident cases, many times involving fatalities.
Offences such as speeding can often be considered trivial and are often routinely, if reluctantly, accepted as fixed penalties. Many cases can, however, be extremely complex for the police to prove. We are often able to provide expert advice that may save your driving licence.
We provide a fixed fee motoring appointment for £58.75 where we can provide you with initial advice, discuss the availability of any Legal Aid or provide a quote for our services. Simply telephone our office to arrange an appointment. If there is no Legal Aid available to you our fees to provide a full attendance and representation at court of a guilty plea start as low as £200 plus vat.
