Meet the Team

Most people feel happier when they know that they have put their affairs in order with a Will and Lasting Power of Attorney. We have considerable experience and high levels of technical expertise to help our clients plan for the future of their estates and minimise Inheritance Tax liability

The Wills and Probate team is a long established part of the firm with many years experience. Kate Gladwin and Rebecca O’Malley, are the two solicitors at our Leicester branch.  Kate will also be available at our Hinckley branch.

Many people do not appreciate the breadth of services we offer.  A substantial part of our work involves helping people plan for what life may bring their way, as well as dealing with events as they happen.  Areas include:

  • Wills (including planning for retirement and long term care)
  • Lifetime planning (including Advice for the Elderly) - appointing someone to assist with financial and personal matters – either for yourself or on behalf of another
  • Tax planning
  • Probate & Estate Administration
  • Advice for the Elderly
  • Mencap recommended advisers

Our team is made up of people with specialist skills and expertise and together we have over 80 years experience.  We have Solicitors and Legal Executives.

STEP is an International professional body for the trust and estate profession, and members of STEP include the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates. The STEP qualification is highly respected within the legal and accountancy professions and shows clients that the professional carrying out work for them has a very high standard of technical knowledge.

Martin Hill, Partner and head of department, is a Trust and Estate Practitioner and Chartered Tax Adviser (and is also Secretary of the East Midlands Branch of STEP). Another solicitor in the department, Rebecca O'Malley, is currently studying for the STEP exams, and Bray & Bray look forward to her also gaining the qualification.

We pride ourselves on our combination of expertise, approachability and use of plain English. In addition we have ground floor meeting rooms at all offices and substantial car parking at our Leicester office.  We can see clients at home, hospital or residential accommodation if required.

Our Wills and Probate department is committed to providing the best professional service through its continuing staff development.
