The recent arrival of a third new member of the Wills, Trusts and Probate team at Bray & Bray Solicitors marks the successful completion of the department’s growth plans across its East Midlands offices, for 2015.
The first to be appointed earlier this year was Natalie Aldrich, who moved from Crane & Walton to develop her career within what she describes as a “friendly and proactive department”. Natalie is based at Bray & Bray’s head office in Leicester and specialises in Private Client Law, Trust work, Tax Planning, Inheritance Tax queries and Power of Attorney issues. Speaking about her first few months at Bray & Bray, Natalie says:
“Bray & Bray is an established law firm with a strong regional reputation for providing excellent, personal service. My first impressions were that everyone is very warm and friendly and having been here for a few months now, I can see that everyone really works together to drive the firm forwards.”
Carly Harwood works alongside Natalie in Bray & Bray’s Leicester office and recently joined the firm in August, after qualifying with Clifton Ingram LLP in Berkshire. Carly specialises in the preparation of Wills, administering Wills when someone has died and areas involving mental capacity; including the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the ongoing management of Court of Protection Deputyship matters. When asked why she chose to work at Bray & Bray upon qualifying and relocating to the East Midlands, Carly says:
“Bray & Bray is a firm with an excellent reputation across the East Midlands and is keen on the progression and development of its staff. After just a few weeks I am already really enjoying Bray & Bray’s positive working environment and have been made to feel very welcome by colleagues.”
Completing the recruitment drive, Philip Baldwin joined the team on 5th August, after working as a primary school teacher for over a year. Prior to this, Philip was a Partner at Shoosmiths, where he worked for 10 years, specialising in Personal Injury. Commenting on the change to Wills, Trusts and Probate work, Philip says:
“What I love about the Wills, Trust and Probate Team at Bray & Bray is their attitude to plain English. Good law doesn’t have to be complicated. When you put the client at the centre of legal services you realise that good law is about practical, common sense solutions written in plain English that people can understand.”
Philip will be working across both the Market Harborough and Hinckley offices and believes that his experience of working in different legal settings alongside experience of the public sector will enhance the caring, straightforward and empathetic approach needed when advising Wills, Trusts and Probate clients.
Martin Hill, Partner and Head of the Wills, Trusts and Probate department at Bray & Bray shares his views on why expansion within this department has been key to Bray & Bray’s growth plans:
“This department (and many of the other departments at Bray & Bray) has expanded and we have plans to further expand over the coming years, which I believe is due to the fact that we are still able to maintain excellent standards of personal service to clients across every area of law that they require. In an age where people shop around for the best prices for almost everything, a personal and reliable service still stands for a great deal and so being able to offer everyone, from our large corporate clients to a first time buyer, a full range of legal services, priced well and communicated in plain English, is what continues to make Bray & Bray thrive.”
