Over 300 guests representing East Midlands businesses joined together to support local children safeguarding charity, Warning Zone at its annual corporate quiz and curry night to help raise more than £6,000.

As the headline sponsor, Bray & Bray’s quiz teams were joined by representatives from other local organisations including Pochin, RSM, De Montfort University, Tarmac, Shoezone, Andrew Granger & Co and The National Space Centre for the quiz held at the Morningside Arena.

Warning Zone is Bray & Bray’s charity of the year for 2019 and runs an interactive life skills centre which aims to teach local children how to behave and keep safe in the community and online, tackling issues such as knife crime, peer pressure, anti-social behaviour and cyberbullying.

The charity’s mission is to provide children aged ten and upwards with a high-quality learning experience that will give them the tools to become responsible members of their local community and understand the consequences of their actions.

“Warning Zone is a life skills centre which is unique to Leicestershire, and equips children with the knowledge and skills they need to make the right choices,” Tim Gladdle, Bray & Bray Senior Partner and Head of Corporate & Commercial law explains. “As a local firm, we wanted to support the charity’s vital work within schools and the community. We were proud to return as the headline sponsor of Warning Zone’s popular quiz night and delighted that the event raised such a significant amount. The Bray & Bray team victory in the quiz was an added bonus!”

Richard Grudgings, Warning Zone Operations Manager adds: “This is the second year running that Bray & Bray has been the only sponsor of our annual quiz night, and we’re incredibly grateful to the firm for its continued support. Accidents are a leading cause of death, serious injury and acquired disability in children and young people in the UK, and Bray & Bray’s support will help us continue the important work we do to improve the lives of youngsters in our local area by educating them on risk, consequence and personal safety.”
