A lot of people think that if you have been caught speeding you will only be facing three points on your licence, and if it was only a little over the speed limit that might be true. A fixed penalty notice could be sent to you, and if you accept it you can avoid going to court. On the other hand, in more serious cases you may not get a choice about going to court, and you could be disqualified from driving for a significant period of time, which would have a serious impact on many aspects of your life.
Bray and Bray’s experienced solicitors can help if you have been charged with a speeding offence, and while in some cases it may not be possible to save your licence we can use our skills to reduce the length of any ban, and use our expertise to reduce the fine you have to pay.

How we can help
With years of expert experience behind us, we can help you avoid disqualification and reduce the number of penalty points.
When a speeding offence is detected, the police refer to a speed enforcement table that directs them on the action to be taken. For example, if your speed was no greater than 10 per cent over the limit, plus two miles per hour, the police will not prosecute. They may send you an advisory letter. At higher levels over the speed limit a course or a fixed penalty may be offered before the level at which the police start court action.
With our advice and representation, many drivers have avoided fines and penalty points and have instead been enrolled on Speed Awareness Courses.
If you do have to go to court about a speeding offence, our experienced solicitors will use their skills and expertise to achieve the best possible result for you.
