We want to be upfront with our clients about the cost of our services and so have a set ‘fixed-fee’ pricing service for making Wills, Powers of Attorney and other legal documents.
The Fees shown below cover the costs of making a Will (or Power of Attorney) and cover all the time that is necessary to discuss your instructions as well as writing the will itself; both in plain English. This includes advising on Will related matters such as the best way to deal with death-in-service benefits and life policies, as well as checking whether you have concerns about the impact of inheritance tax or worries over care home fee planning. We will also store your Will for free.
We also always work on the basis that we will only do the work that you want us to do, without pressuring you to take up services that you don’t want or need right now. Our transparency with costs and pricing also means that we will only ever charge you for what we do – rather than taking percentage of what you inherit.
* There is also a fee payable to the Office of the Public Guardian of £82.00 per application when the Lasting Powers of Attorney are registered.

Why might I need a Discretionary Trust (DT) Will?
Including a Discretionary Trust in your Will can be a good idea for saving money on inheritance tax and for providing practical benefits such as controlling when a child inherits money and providing for children from a previous marriage.
For more information, view our Discretionary Trusts page.
- A pair of Wills constitutes a ‘mirror’ Will, usually between a husband and wife, where most of the information regarding beneficiaries etc. will be the same.
- In some instances there may be a supplemental charge for a home or hospital visit, if you would prefer we came to you instead of visiting one of our offices.
