Find out more about Catherine North – Commercial Property solicitor based at our Leicester city centre office.
Q: How long have you been working in Commercial Property Law?
A: 4 years. I’ve been qualified for 3 years and also spent a year in Commercial Property during my training contract.
Q: What made you want to get into Commercial Property Law?
A: I find it really interesting and enjoy helping clients to develop their enterprises.
Q: What is the most challenging type of case you have handled?
A: Acting for a local developer in relation to secured lending in excess of £10million. The Bank’s requirements were lengthy and the client wanted to draw down the funds urgently, as he had already let out the properties he was developing before they had been constructed.
Q: What types of cases do you have most experience in?
A: Landlord and tenant work; dealing with leases, licenses to assign etc.
Q: Why do you think so many people come to Bray & Bray to sort Commercial Property issues out?
A: Because we are approachable and professional. We work hard to put out clients’ needs first and specifically ensure that it’s easy to contact us.
Q: Which sort of cases do you find that you can relate to most?
A: Property development because I’m currently in the process of building my own house and so I know how difficult and exasperating the planning process can be.
Q: What do you do to unwind after a busy day?
A: Open a bottle of Prosecco and have a nice meal.
Q: What is the key to your success?
A: Hard work and determination.
Q: If you weren’t a solicitor, what do you think you would be good at?
A: Project management.
