From 6th April 2015, the Government will increase the amount of compensation payable for the following employee pay related legal matters:
Statutory week of pay limit
- The cap for a statutory week of pay will increase from £464 to a maximum of £475.
Unfair dismissal compensatory award limit
- The cap for unfair dismissal compensatory awards will increase from £76,574 to £78,335 (or the equivalent of 52 weeks’ gross pay, if lower than this figure).
Maximum basic award for unfair dismissal and redundancy payment
- The cap for a basic award for unfair dismissal will become £14,250, which is the same as the limit for a statutory redundancy payment.
Statutory sick pay amount
- April 6th will also see a rise in statutory sick pay, from £87.55 per week to £88.45 per week.
